Please note that the below courses are designed to enable full driving licence holders to upgrade their driving licence to a Category C1 that will allow them to legally drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle including LGV, Paramedic (ECA) C1s and motor homes.
The following courses include vehicle hire and test fees but are subject to the individual’s driving experience and ability. In some cases, it could be necessary to add additional hours of training to achieve this status. Your course instructor will advise you on this after your initial assessment.

Legal requirements
- Possession of a full UK driving licence
- All drivers must be at least 18 years of age
- Photo card licence is within 10 years in date
What can I achieve from this course?
The C1 course is for drivers who wish to upgrade their current car driving licence to enable them to drive 7.5 Tonne vehicles for commercial or domestic use. This licence upgrade will entitle drivers to drive vehicles such as delivery vans, Paramedic (ECA) C1s or medium-sized horse boxes.
The best way to achieve this licence is by booking a block course of training that will enable us to plan a bespoke training course just for you. This will cater to your individual needs based on your current ability and driving experience.

Getting to us
Courses start from our training facility at Skipton Auction Mart, BD23 1UD.
We’re no more than a 40 minute drive if you’re based in West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire & Lancashire. Alternatively, you can catch the train to Skipton and we’ll arrange pick-up to our dedicated training facility.
Alternative arrangements can be made when travelling from 7.5 Ton C1 training. Just ask Andy for more details!
