Course Details

This is a comprehensive course for anyone wanting to legally drive a 7.5 Tonne large goods vehicle for commercial or domestic use.
The course is suitable for all drivers wanting to legally drive a large goods vehicle for commercial work such as a delivery driver or for other reason such as motor homes, Paramedic (ECA) C1s and long wheel based vehicles.
C1 courses are a 2 and a half day (13 hours) training course that we run 7 days a week.
All training is delivered on a 1;1 basis, 07:30 – 12:30 or 13:00 til 18:00.
Once the C1 provisional entitlement is activated and the hazard perception and multiple choice theory tests have been passed, please contact us for course dates.
Courses are inclusive of VAT and test fee
We require a deposit to secure a course, we accept all major debit and credit cards.

What can I drive once I’ve passed?

Once you have passed the LGV 7.5 Tonne driving course, you will be legally qualified to drive commercial vehicles weighing up to 7.5 tonnes. This includes a wide range of vehicles such as delivery trucks, horseboxes, motorhomes, and ambulance services. Once you have passed the test for a Category C1 vehicle you can legally drive a large goods vehicle up to 7.5 Tonne for domestic or commercial use and will automatically get your driving licence upgraded by the DVLA.

13 hours (2.5 days). We run 7 days a week.

The C1 course is for drivers who wish to upgrade their current car driving licence to enable them to drive 7.5 Tonne vehicle for commercial or domestic use. This licence upgrade will entitle drivers to drive vehicles such as delivery vans, Paramedic (ECA) C1s or motor homes.

It is recommended that the best way to achieve this licence is book a block 7.5 Tonne driving course based on an intensive training course that will enable us to plan and structure a bespoke 7.5 Tonne training course that caters for your individual needs based on your current ability and driving experience.

What are the legal requirements?

Possession of a full UK driving licence
All drivers must be at least 18 years of age
Photo card licence is within 10 years of the date
The knowledge that this course is for confident drivers as the duration is short
