This is a comprehensive course for anyone wanting to legally drive a C1 ( up to 7.5 Tonne) large goods vehicle for commercial or domestic use.
The course is suitable for all drivers wanting to legally drive a large goods vehicle for commercial work such as delivery driver or for other reason such as motor homes, Paramedic (ECA) C1s and long wheel based vehicles
C1 courses are a four-day training course with training starting on a Monday through to Thursday with the test being conducted on the Thursday or the Friday
All training is delivered on a one-on-one basis, either AM or PM (8-12 / 12-4)

What will I gain from this course?

Once you have passed the test for a C1 licence you can legally drive a large goods vehicle up to 7.5 Tonne for domestic or commercial use.

How long will it take?

16-20 hours depending on the experience of training over 4-5 days with tests normally on Thursdays and Fridays.

Legal requirements

Possession of a full UK driving licence
All drivers must be at least 18 years of age
Photo card licence is within 10 years in date
The knowledge that this course is for confident drivers as duration is short

What can I achieve from this course?

The C1 course is for drivers who wish to upgrade their current car driving licence to enable them to drive 7.5 Tonne vehicle for commercial or domestic use. This licence upgrade will entitle drivers to drive vehicles such as delivery vans, Paramedic (ECA) C1s or medium-sized horse boxes.

It is recommended that the best way to achieve this licence is book a block course of training that will enable us to plan and structure a bespoke training course that caters for your individual needs based on your current ability and driving experience.

Our method of training is set to develop your driving skills gradually and build your knowledge in a way that gets you to test standard on a level that works for you on an individual basis.
